​Nio starts deliveries of new ES8 in Europe​

Nio began deliveries of the new ES8 -- known locally as the EL8 -- in Europe, after launching the electric SUV there three months ago.

​Nio releases new charging scheme for battery swap service, to come into effect on Sept 24​

The new scheme makes billing more dependent on the amount of power added, which may help promote the use of the battery swap service compared to the previous fixed service fee plus a power charge.

​BYD now holds 100% of Denza as Mercedes exits​

BYD has bought the remaining 10 percent of Denza from Mercedes-Benz, after increasing its stake from 50 percent to 90 percent in 2022.

BYD unveiled its E-VALI electric light commercial vehicle at the IAA Transportation 2024 event, and has entered into a partnership with France's CEVA Logistics to deliver four ETH8 all-electric trucks to it in January 2025.
